Rihanna Donates $1.75 Million To Hospital In Barbados

While on vacation in her home country of Barbados , Rihanna made a very generous donation to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The singer donated various expensive pieces of medical equipment, totaling $1.75 million, in the name of her late grandmother Clara “Dolly” Braithwaite.  

Rihanna was present for the presentation as the radiotherapy department of the hospital was renamed the Clara Braithwaite Centre for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine.

“This was my way of giving back to Barbados, in a form of philanthropy, by assisting the QEH in its continued modernization program,” said Rihanna in a statement. “I believe that this will have a huge impact on the people of Barbados. This was all done to save lives or at least extend them.”
