Roman Abramovich’s £5 Million NYE Party Hosted The Elite Of The World

45-year-old Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich has once again thrown the hottest New Year’s Eve party in the world in St. Barts- now being named one of the biggest showbiz events of the year.

What’s even more interesting is the 400 person guestlist which seems to be mainly made up of older men and their much younger trophy-wife partners.

Abramovich was not the only one with a young girlfriend (30-year-old Dasha Zhukova), guest 80-year-old Rupert Murdoch was accompanied by his 43-year-old wife Wendi.

Film producer Harvey Weinstein, 59, came with his fashion designer wife Georgia Champman, 35; Russell Simmons, 54, was joined by his girlfriend actress Melissa George, 35; and even George Lucas, 67, was joined by his 42-year-old partner Mellody Hobson.

The $112 million property owned by Abramovich held, as far as we know, the most expensive New Year’s Eve party (allegedly costing the oligarch a pretty $8 million) anywhere in the world – definitely with guests holding the largest age disparity.

But hey, if you can afford a trophy wife, why not have one? Or two for that matter.
