As it turns out Ronaiah Tuiasosopo developed intense feelings for Manti Te’o over the time that he pretended to be Manti’s girlfriend. The emotions were real, while the girlfriend was fantasy.
According to many sources Ronaiah has struggled for years trying to assimilate to the expectations of his culture, his religion and his family. Its said that Ronaiah never had a serious physical relationship with anyone in his life and that’s why created a female persona online as a way to deal his suppressed feelings.
Ronaiah has used this female persona in many encounters, but never became intensely emotionally attached to anyone until he started talking to Manti. It’s already been confirmed when Ronaiah spoke with Manti as “Lennay Kekua” he used his own voice.
Ultimately Ronaiah’s feelings became so intense that he blew his own cover on December 6 and called Manti, because it was hard to walk away the person he loved. He never intended to reveal Manti was actually talking to a man, he just wanted to reconnect with Manti, but oddly still using a woman’s voice.
Cleary Ronaiah has some very suppressed homosexual feelings that he needs to release. Being gay isn’t an issue and hopefully his family can finally accept him for who he really is to help him recover from this scandal. Hopefully Ronaiah’s fantastical online hoax days are over.
