Ryan Gosling went on Jimmy Kimmel Live and shared with us a story about his childhood past. When he was a little kid, his father had asked him to sell “a truckload” of cellophane.
“I was taking it to school in my backpack, trying to sell it to the kids at school,” explained Ryan Gosling.
Selling cellophane to school kids didn’t work so well. If only a stranger would just buy all the cellophane he had out of the kindness of his heart. “Like some guy would just come along and be like, ‘I’ll take ‘em all,’ which never happened,” imagined Gosling.
However, Gosling was determined to make that dream a reality and when presented with the opportunity, he did a bit of philanthropy work himself. He ran into a girl scout and decided to buy ALL the cookies she was selling.
“I didn’t realize how many boxes I was going to have,” Gosling said. “I had a car full of them, and I didn’t know what to do. I started just throwing them out the window to people on the street. … I was like, ‘This must be what Santa Claus feels like.’ ”
