Ryan Leslie Actually Has To Pay The $1 Million He Offered For His Stolen Laptop
Entertainment

Singer and producer Ryan Leslie offered an award for his lost laptop that disappeared while he was on tour in Germany. He posted a YouTube video offering a $1,000,000 dollar reward for the laptop and its intellectual content.

However, when auto shop owner Armin Augstein found and returned the laptop, the artist refused to pay the amount saying that the hard drive did not contain the data that the reward was contingent upon.

Fortunately for Augustein, a U.S. jury of Leslie’s peers found that he ought to pay the amount offered.

Augstein, 54, said that he’s “very happy” with the American judicial system, noting it’s “so totally different from” Germany’s.

Singularity At The Cinema: ‘Transcendence,’ ‘Her’ And Fighting Against The Future

“Transcendence” isn’t a very good movie. It has the setup to be a thought-provoking, sci-fi, action flick, without any real action or thought of which to speak. It’s essentially the last 20 minutes of “Her,” spread glacially over a two-hour-and-twenty-minute run time. The biggest problem with “Transcendence,” however, is that it foregrounds and obsesses over its technology at the […]
