Forrest Gump’ As Directed By Wes Anderson Is Perfect (Video)

Wes Anderson, he’s so hot right now. It seems the new wave of parodies for the time being is everything Wes Anderson (don’t worry, “Frozen” parodies aren’t going anywhere). We saw the “Zoolander” scene a few days ago inspired by Anderson, and a few weeks before that we saw a beautiful compilation of his symmetry. Now, […]

On April 20, 1999, in an elementary school four miles away from Columbine High School, I sat as a 5-year-old kid in kindergarten class. A 5-year-old who hurriedly went from a desk in her classroom to a siren-filled library with her classmates. A 5-year-old, whose mom raced home from work to pick her up from […]

Purity Balls? Girls Are Having Ceremonies To Pledge Their Purity To Their Fathers

As if those virginity pledges weren’t creepy enough, some ultra-conservative dads are encouraging their daughters to save themselves for marriage, and celebrating their future celibacy with daddy-daughter Purity Balls. These dances are a phenomenon that supposedly occur in 48 states and 17 countries, but I think they clearly cross cultural and national boundaries to be […]
