Ryan Reynolds Had The Worst Explanation For His Sad Taylor Swift Party Pic

Instagram

Remember the moment all of our love lives became meaningless when Taylor Swift posted a heart-melting couples picture on the Fourth of July?

You know, the one where Taylor stared steadily into Tom Hiddleston's dreamy eyes and Blake Lively cuddled with Ryan Reynolds as he... um, stared blankly into the distance?

Yes, that one!

Let's go back in time a few months and take a deeper look into that photo -- focusing on Ryan Reynolds, in particular.

Since the photo was taken, we were left wondering why Reynolds had such a dismal, emotionless demeanor, and he's finally given us the answer we've been longing for (kind of).

And, no, his unamused expression doesn't mean he's unhappy with Blake. In fact, their superhuman couple surpassed Hiddleswift with flying colors, regardless of Reynolds' uncomfortable stare.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Reynolds talked about his resting bitch face that was unknowingly captured in the photo.

His explanation wasn't exactly what we were looking for, but it'll do.

When asked if he was upset while the picture was being taken, he said,

No that's a problem I've had all my life. If I'm not aware a photo is being taken, my natural resting face is one of a man dying. I had no idea somebody was taking a photo. Therefore I was resting comfortably in my persona of a man whose soul is visibly exiting this earth.

Whatever you say, Ry.

Honestly, I was hoping for some sort of juicy gossip, but I guess Ryan and Blake are so damn happy together they don't need a sappy romantic pose to prove their strength as a couple.

I'm sure Blake wasn't fazed by the fact that Reynolds' "face is one of a man dying" because she still seems to love him a "whole lot."

But, let's face it, no matter what face Ryan Reynolds is making, he's going to remain sexy AF.
