Saved By The Bell Star Battling Serious Bipolar Disorder
You may remember Lark Voorhies as the fashionable teen Lisa Turtle on the 90s show Saved By The Bell. Unlike her co-stars, Lark shied away from the spotlight upon wrapping up the Saved By The Bell series, but there is a reason for why she has been laying low.
According to Lark’s mother, Lark has been diagnosed with a rare form of bipolar disorder. This mental illness has permanently traumatized her and has prohibited her from living the lifestyle she had once lived.
Lark’s mother explained how the end of the actress’ four year marriage to Miguel Coleman ‘caused a kind of break’ for her daughter.
It’s very unfortunate to hear about Lark’s condition, especially since she had the potential to have a very successful career. I’d like to believe that this isn’t a case of ”Macaulay Culkin” which has led to the peril of many successful young stars before their prime.
Oddly enough, Lark claims she is not ill, which raises another question: who’s smoking the pipe here, Lark or her mother? Probably Both.
