Selena Gomez Just Made An Insane Amount Of Money As The New Face Of Coach
After the despair spiral of 2016, things might be looking up ... if we're only judging by the promise of Selena Gomez dressing us in head-to-toe Coach.
The 24-year-old — fresh off her Revival World Tour — signed a $10 million deal with Coach to not only act as the face of the brand, but design her own line, FOX News reports.
Aside from seeing Selena in ad campaigns, those of us who are strong enough not to blow all our money on happy hour beers and late-night Seamless will also be able to purchase items designed by the “Kill Em With Kindness” singer.
Selena is back in action after a stint out of the spotlight spent treating her Lupus-related depression and anxiety. She recently told Thrive Global,
I recently took 90 days off. During that time I did not have my cellphone. It was the most refreshing, calming, rejuvenating feeling. Now I rarely pick up my phone, and only limited people have access to me.
Perhaps her time off the grid allowed 2016's most popular Instagrammer to focus on new avenues of creativity.
During an emotional speech at the 2016 American Music Awards, Selena admitted to fans she felt "broken" prior to taking time away from the constant scrutiny of social media.
She said,
I had to stop because I had everything, and I was absolutely broken inside. And I kept it all together enough to where I would never let you down, but I kept it too much together to where I let myself down. I'm not trying to get validation, nor do I need it anymore. All I can say from the bottom of my heart is that I am so grateful to have the opportunity to share what I love every single day with the people that I love.
We've seen Selena sing and dance and even play a teen wizard for, like, five straight years, but designer Selena is a whole new bag of tricks, baybeh.
Sorry I called you baybeh. This is just an exciting time. The political climate has the nation more divided than ever, but trust Selena to bring us back together with artfully-crafted purses and shoes.
Dream this dream with me, won't you America?
Dream this dream with me.
