Selena Gomez Was Snubbed For The VMAs And Fans Are So, So Pissed

Woah, woah, woah, MTV, we've gotta talk. My girl Selena Gomez was nominated for two VMAs this year, but that's nothing compared to what this queen deserves. I'm sorry, y'all, did you even hear "Bad Liar"? Were you paying attention when "Fetish" dropped? Like, where the F were you when she was rolling around in a house eating broken glass and cutting her tongue with an eyelash curler? ASLEEP?! Gomez is a legend and the VMAs are not worthy. SOMEBODY HOLD ME BACK. So, for real, what about "Fetish"? And why wasn't "Bad Liar" nominated for a VMA?!

Clearly I'm heated over this, but that's because Selena Gomez was only nominated under the category Best Dance for her collaboration with Kygo in "It Ain't Me," and Best Collaboration with Charlie Puth for "We Don't Talk Anymore." OK?? CONGRATS??? COOL???

Nah, B. "Bad Liar" and "Fetish" deserve to be on this list. The VMAs is meant to honor the greatest musicians in the world and I'd like to argue Sel-Go (that's kind of catchy, right?) is the saving grace of sound. When those lips move, angels appear and ten thousand baby doves in the distance collectively learn how to fly.

Sooo then, liiiike, why didn't she make the cut?!

Well, after taking a few breaths and eating a snack (my therapist taught me grounding techniques), I realized "Fetish" might not have been an eligable nomination considering the fact it just came out. "Fetish" actually dropped end of July, and the VMAs' eligibility period was June 25, 2016, to June 23, 2017.

Ugh, sorry, Sel. But what about "Bad Liar"? That song came out early June, you guys. THERE ARE NO EXCUSES HERE. Selena Gomez got snubbed and fans aren't happy about it.
