After a very strong start overseas last weekend, Skyfall expanded its reach to nearly every foreign market and scored an unbelievable $156 million.

The 23rd James Bond movie has already earned $287 million, which makes it the third-highest-grossing Bond movie ever behind Daniel Craig’s previous two entries, and its well on its way to setting a new franchise record.

Its top market was once again 007′s native U.K., where the movie eased 21 percent to $25.7 million. That brings its total to $85.8 million, which puts it a day or two away from passing The Dark Knight Rises to become the highest-grossing movie of the year there.
