Who knew acting like idiots could make so much money? Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and her Jersey Shore cast mates hit it big with their popular MTV reality show. Snooki, Pauly D, and The Situation will each earn $150,000 per episode for the sixth season, according to Radar.

After the season’s 12 episodes, these three will have made $1.8 million. On top of that, there was a $400,000 signing bonus at the start of the season, a $200,000 bonus at the end of the season, and $150,000 for each additional reunion special. By the time the sixth season’s over, Snooki, Pauly D, and the Sitch will have earned a total of $2.55 million each.

JWoww will bring in about $100,000 per episode, while Vinny will take home $90,000 per episode. Ron and Sammi will rake in $80,000 per episode (but who really cares about the on-again-off-again lovers anyway).

Since Deena wasn’t an original member of the crew, she’ll only be earning $40,000 per episode. Still, that’s not too shabby for just drinking and partying everyday.

Last night, “Modern Family” won the “Best Comedy Series” Emmy for the fifth consecutive year, tying it with “Frasier” for the amount of time spent atop the comedy food chain. Five consecutive wins is a bit surprising, considering this is a difficult time to dominate the comedy market. The network-television-dominated days of yesteryear, are over, given […]

Highway Deaths In Colorado Since Weed Was Legalized Are Almost At An All-Time Low

One of the biggest concerns for the legalization of marijuana was car accidents because it’s long been assumed that weed alters perception just like any other drug. But as these graphs from the Washington Post show, highway fatalities are actually at near-historic lows in Colorado now that more people are smoking pot. This first graph […]

23 Old People Whose Dance Moves Would Steal The Show At Any Music Festival

Nowadays, it’s fairly in vogue to tell people that you think music festivals just aren’t like they used to be. Even though most of the people who complain about stuff like that are admittedly insufferable, it’s hard to argue that they don’t have a point. As festivals and gatherings become increasingly more mainstream, it’s only […]

Why Your 20s Are Actually The Best Time To Be In A Long-Distance Relationship

When unfamiliar people learn about my boyfriend, they usually respond with shock, confusion and a laundry list of questions. No, I’m not dating an ex-con and no, he’s not related to me. I’m simply in a long-distance relationship. By long distance, I mean really, really long distance — like, across the Atlantic Ocean, nonstop flight […]
