Snoop Dogg and and David Beckham have teamed up to bring forward a cautionary Christmas tale. The two global giants star in a modern day animated spin off of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

Snoop, 41, stars in the tongue-in-cheek adidas created short film named The Cautionary Tale of Ebenezer Snoop.

The popular rapper, now known as Snoop Lion, has been drawn by Beavis & Butthead artist JJ Sedelmaier and is the protagonist in a star studded cartoon.

The short film opens with skateboard hero Mark Gonzales playing the role of Snoop’s butler as he recalls the classic tale.

As adidas’ most well known star Beckham, 37, makes an appearance as the Ghost of Christmas Present, complete with tattooed arms.

The LA Galaxy midfielder warns Snoop about what a difference his presence makes to a house party with other guests such as Andy Murray.

American Tennis legend Stan Smith, 65, also features in the film as the Ghost of Christmas Past and he smacks Ebenezer Snoop through time.

Chicago Bulls basketball player Derrick Rose joins forces with British pop star Rita Ora to form the Ghosts of Christmas Future.

The cartoon also has appearances from global adidas stars including Jeremy Scott, Dani Alves, Yohan Blake and Dwight Howard.

As the film closes, you are invited to find out if you are an Ebenezer, and if so, the chance to redeem yourself via a Facebook app.

The Facebook application takes you on a personalized journey of what could become if you don’t change your ways – Snoop might not be the only Ebenezer.

Christy Kilmartin, Brand Marketing Director at adidas AG, said: ‘The adidas Ebenezer Snoop Holiday Campaign offers a digital alternative to the normal holiday card in true adidas style.
