Taylor Swift might need to call Emily Post to find out what proper wedding etiquette really is because Kathie Lee Gifford confirmed Thursday that she really did crash the Kennedy wedding over the weekend and was asked to leave twice!

Taylor, 22, and Conor Kennedy, 18, arrived at his cousin Kyle Kennedy’s wedding on Saturday at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel where they were promptly asked to leave by the bride’s mother, Vicki Gifford Kennedy, who is the daughter of Kathie Lee’s husband Frank Gifford.

On TODAY, Kathie Lee explained what happened at her granddaughter’s wedding.“The truth is, Vicki, Frank’s daughter’s, account of what happened in Boston is accurate,” she said.

She explained that Conor had been invited to the wedding but never sent an RSVP so when he texted her and asked if he and Taylor could come to the reception she said no.

“I responded with a very clear, ‘Please do not come.’ They came anyway. … I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, politely introduced myself to her, and asked her as nicely as I could to leave. It was like talking to a ghost. She seemed to look right past me.”

Kathie Lee said Vicki was upset over the distraction Taylor was causing on her daughter’s big day.

“She said to me as it was happening ‘I’m really not happy about this.’”

Katie Lee explained further that the invitations had been sent out “a long time ago,” and that when Conor arrived with Taylor after not RSVPing for the wedding she “asked her to leave twice.”

The Frozen Theory: How To Turn ‘Let It Go’ Into A Way Of Life

I’ll admit it: The Oscar-winning original song, “Let It Go” from the Disney animated movie, “Frozen” instantly made my shower playlist. As much as I try to sound as immaculate as Idina Menzel (or Adele Dazeem, if you wish to Travolta-ize it), I just can’t compete. Aside from its incredibly catchy tune, the song’s lyrics […]

Addressing The Ever-Perplexing Question, Can Men And Women Be Just Friends?

It’s a question that we’ve all faced at least once in our lives, and it divides opinions like the general public’s preferences on Marmite: Can men and women be just friends? I’ve met people who swear that men and women can never just be friends and that something more must be going on if they’re […]
