Taylor Swift Ex Conor Kennedy Arrested After Beating Man, Fighting Cop At Bar
No family is perfect — even the Kennedys.
It’s been reported John Conor Kennedy, Robert Kennedy’s 22-year-old grandson, was arrested and charged with disorderly contact on Thursday after a bar fight in Aspen, Colorado.
The brawl allegedly broke out around 1:40 am on the property of a celebrity-ridden nightclub resort called Bootsy Bellows, DailyMail.com reports.
Apparently, John Conor Kennedy — who dated Taylor Swift when he was 18 years old — was caught outside the club fighting aggressively with another man.
According to officer Andy Atkinson of Aspen Police, he was caught grabbing a man by the shirt and hitting him “four or five times in the back of the head with his fists.”
Aspen police Sgt. Rick Magnuson reportedly told Aspen Times that authorities were called to the nightclub to escort people out who would not leave when Atkinson witnessed Kennedy start brawling with another man.
The 22-year-old legacy and the unnamed man he was trying to attack began rolling around on the ground in a heated fight, and officer Atkinson tried to separate them.
Kennedy continued to fight even when Atkinson tried to restrain him. Soon enough, both Kennedy and the officer fell into a snow bank outside the club.
Atkinson recalled the moment he was taken down by a young Kennedy, and said,
Kennedy and I fell back on to the snow bank on the south side of (Hyman Avenue) where Kennedy attempted to pull away from me and stand up. I held on to Kennedy’s arms and rolled him over with assistance from a bystander on to his stomach.
John Conor Kennedy allegedly apologized to the officer after he was arrested, and explained why he began the scuffle in the first place.
According to a police report, he said, “He called my friend the f-word.”
Although we aren’t sure which “f-word” he was referring to, context clues from a family spokesperson make the argument clearer.
Apparently, the family spokesperson said,
Multiple witnesses to the incident have reported that two men assaulted Conor Kennedy after he rebuked them for directing a homophobic slur and threats to his close friend.

Kennedy was taken to Pitkin County Jail and will appear in Aspen Municipal Court on February 22 to tell his side of the story.
Hm… I wonder how Taylor feels about this.
