Terrell Owens Might Be Headed to Jail Soon

Terrell Owens keeps making his child support situation worse. Yesterday, Owens missed a scheduled child support hearing, where he was supposed to give the judge a reason why he is $20,000 behind.

Owens has not been paying child support to Melanie Page Smith, the mother of his seven-year-old daughter.

Owens’ lawyers said that his absence was a miscommunication. However, the judge is considering a jail sentence.

“It’s a tragedy,” Smith’s lawyer said, “not only that we are here today; this is the third case she has had to file in the last year. We are hoping next week the case will come to a resolution and Mr. Owens will pay and pay every month.”
