As one of the most successful actors in Hollywood, Tom Cruise finds himself in a post-divorce crisis with an uncertain future. The actor’s past behaviors as portrayed by the media are highly unorthodox, to say the least, and since Tom Cruise’s finalized divorce two months ago from Katie Holmes there has not been many changes, except allegedly in his view of scientology.

The religion focuses on the spiritual rehabilitation of society, which consists of immortal beings that have lost their true nature. Cruise became an advocate for the Church of Scientology in the early 1990s, attributing his overcoming of dyslexia to his new religion.

There are claims that Cruise would scrap the religion in efforts to reconcile with his recently divorced ex-wife, actress Katie Holmes. Tom reportedly has been distressed after the break up, and scientology has become a scapegoat for past relationship failures as he realizes the religion’s techniques do not work in marriage. Holmes apparently is keen on the idea of a clean break from the church for Tom, and supposedly would entertain the idea of reconciliation if he does so. Holmes is Tom’s third wife.

Tom Cruise has also been heartbroken over missing his daughter Suri, whom he has reportedly not seen in months due to scheduling conflicts with filming and Holmes and Suri’s location being in New York. Suri attends school in New York city and speaks with her father via telephone or video chat daily.

The star seems to be going through a mid-life crisis as he publicly battles for a younger, fresher image while reportedly celebrating Usher’s birthday and hitting clubs all over London. Tom recently turned 50 back in July, and along with another year under his belt comes an overwhelming rush of concern.

The actor seems troubled over the uncertainty of his career in big action films, and is worried about being eased out of the roles his career has been based on prior to this crisis. Currently spending time in England filming All You Need Is Kill, Cruise has won three Golden Globe Awards and has been nominated for three Academy Awards. As of this year, Tom Cruise is one of Hollywood’s highest paid actors.

The rumors of the motive of Cruise’s scientology rift have recently been believed to be false. It appears that his separation from Katie Holmes is not the root of his recent partition from the Church. Holmes seems to be enjoying the single life, and in no rush to spark relationships with any actors. In an interview with The Atlantic Wire, Katie Holmes stated “no, I’m not going to date another actor, it never works.” We will just have to sit back and watch how this relationship plays out in the media.
