Could Vin Diesel End Up On Broadway? [Video]

Remember Vin Diesel’s awesomely bizarre Valentine’s Day video, in which the action star sings and emotes alongside Rihanna’s bathtub-set “Stay” video? 

In a message to his 39 million Facebook friends, Diesel reveals that he “naturally” became “self-conscious” when the video went viral, “and thought maybe I shouldn’t have exposed myself like that.”

“Then I had dinner with my dad,” he explained in Tuesday’s post. “And surprisingly… he said he loved it… and thought it was deep on a few levels…”

And now for the kicker.

According to Diesel, “The studio called today… and asked if I would be interested in doing a musical… Hmmm…”

As for why Vin decided to record the video in the first place….it turns out the serenade was a Valentine’s Day gift for his longtime love, Paloma Jimenez.

“People say ‘I didn’t know you were a Rihanna fan,’” he explains. “How could you not be a fan of her voice, her gift?”
