In 2003 during a child molestation investigation, a pair of MJ’s undies were seized.   Somehow, they found themselves on eBay and sold for a price of $1 million.   For that price you could get yourself a new 20m Sunseeker Yacht!

11. Chaplin’s Film

An antiques collector from Essex, UK purchased a film container from eBay for only £3.30 simply because he liked the design.   To his surprise, inside was a film titled “Charlie Chaplin in Zepped", a previously unseen Chaplin film that is now valued at over £40,000.

10. Timberlake’s half-eaten breakfast

Justin Timberlake did not finish a plate of French toast in a New York hotel during an interview.   Some smart waiters were able to pick up the leftover scraps and sell them on eBay for $3,154.

9. JD Salinger’s Toilet

In 2010, JD Salinger’s original toilet from the home of the Catcher in the Rye author was listed for a whopping $1 million!   The listing stated that the condition of the toilet was “un-cleaned and in its original condition”.   The seller justifies this incredible price by stating that Salinger came up with thousands of ideas for his works on that specific toilet.

8. Marilyn Monroe’s Chest-Rays

We all know that the Nouveau Riche love spending on anything related to Monroe.   On the past we have seen the “Happy Birthday Mr. President” dress sell for $1.3 million in 1999 and the “Subway Dress” sell for $5.6 million.   However,  three X-rays of Monroe’s lungs in which the outline of her breasts can barely be made out were sold for $45,000!

7. Her Majesty’s Royal Panties

Somehow (we won’t question this) the Queen left a pair of her monogrammed silk panties in a private plane that carried the queen to Chile in 1968.   The pilot was able to secure $18,101 for the pair of panties! What a Royal Treat!

6. John Lennon’s Tooth

Canadian dentist Michael Zuk splashed $31,200  for John Lennon’s tooth in 2011.   The tooth was given by Lennon to his housekeeper after a trip to the dentist.   The usual gift for a good housekeeper!

5. Pitt and Jolie’s breath

This is one of our favorites.   While the lovely couple walked in the red carpet, a passer by captured their breath and secured it in a jar.   Smart move as he was able to sell it for $530 on eBay.

4. Bieber Goldilocks

A day after getting his new haircut, Bieber gave his hair in a signed box to Ellen DeGeneres from the Ellen Show, who was able to sell the locks of hair for $40,668!   Don’t worry, it was all donated to The Gentle Barn Foundation, an animal rescue organization.

3. Scarlett’s used tissue

In 2008 poor Scarlett Johansson had a cold.   Well it paid off! Her dirty tissue was auctioned off in eBay for an unbelievable $5,300!

In 2004 an unidentified buyer sold a piece of Spears’ used gum for an incredible price of $14,000.   There was no way for the seller to prove authenticity but he kindly provided photos, and the ticket from the seat in which the ticket was spit out.   Well, that proves it all.

BONUS: James Blunt’s Sis

This story is quite priceless: James Blunt was so addicted to eBay that in 2004, his sister had a funeral to attend to in Ireland.   Rather than taking the time to bring his sister to the funeral, as a joke, he auctioned the idea off online in order to find her a ride.   The story ended quite happily though, as a man turned up with a helicopter to take her to the funeral in Ireland and ended up marrying her two years later!
