This Glow-In-The-Dark Gown Straight Up Won The 2016 Met Gala

by Nina Ruggiero

There's without a doubt no fashion event that sparks debate every year quite like the Met Gala, and Monday night was no exception.

Was Sarah Jessica Parker's look brilliant or f*cking weird? Did Beyoncé slay or did she just show up looking like a condom?

All legitimate questions.

But if the Internet could come together and agree on one thing, it was that Claire Danes won.

Claire nailed the theme, "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology," in a way so magical I'd venture a guess it even made Anna Wintour crack a smile.

I mean, if Cinderella herself were at the Met she would have been so jealous she'd have to call some of her little animal friends to come and tear Claire's perfect Zac Posen gown apart.

The glowing gown reportedly was made of fiber optic organza, and had 30 mini battery packs sewn into it. How's that for fashion and technology?

Like a true fairy tale, suspense was built up throughout the night as everyone tried to identify the mysterious beauty in the glamorous gown.

Who is that girl?

But once Claire was revealed, everyone fell in love.

Hugh Dancy honestly could have worn sweatpants and no one would have noticed.

I'd be twirling all night in that thing.

A round of applause for everyone involved, indeed.
