Dream Team: Adele And Lionel Richie Could Possibly Work Together Soon

The world didn't need an avalanche of “Hello” memes to tell us Adele's new single and Lionel Richie's 1983 hit of the same name were primed for a duet.

Sure, that itch was partially scratched by BlendTV's hilarious mashup of the pair's music videos, but in the spirit of MORE! NOW! WANT! MINE! Richie told E! News fans could count on a full collaboration.

He shared,

We are going to be doing something together -- that's already almost in the works... I can almost say that we are talking, but right now she has a mission. Her mission is [to] get her record out and go on tour, so until she finishes that cycle, that won't happen just yet… If I jump on her stage, [they'd] probably throw me out… Can you imagine 'Lionel Richie Jumps or Crawls Up on Adele's Stage?'

I DON'T BUY IT!

Richie will be on that tour whether he's jumping, crawling or gently sweeping across the stage while serenading the audience into an ocean of tears and hugs from strangers.
