Don Johnson Receives $19M In Lawsuit For ‘Nash Bridges’ Profits
Though the show was taken off the air nearly 10 years ago …Don Johnson is just receiving the compensation he says he deserved as a star on Nash Bridges.
Don Johnson received $19 million from Rysher Entertainment, after more than two years of court battles over profits for the series.
Johnson was originally awarded $50 million back in 2010, but in October the California Court of Appeals cut the award to $15 million.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Johnson has signed an acknowledgement that he is content with the $19 million, which Rysher wired to his production company at the end of January.
Johnson sued Rysher, claiming his 1995 contract entitled him to half-ownership of the series if it lasted at least 66 episodes. Nash Bridges was on air from 1996 to 2001, and aired 122 episodes.
Rysher is owned by Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner’s 2929 Entertainment.
