Baby Groot's A Hero-In-Training In The New 'Guardians Of The Galaxy 2' Trailer

Marvel Entertainment

The new "Guardians Of The Galaxy 2" trailer dropped today and Baby Groot is ALL UP IN THAT BUSINESS.

Remember when everyone's favorite little alien succulent came back into our lives for a brief, shining moment when the first teaser trailer for "Guardians Of The Galaxy 2" dropped back in October?

Well, he's back. And this trailer is even better than the first one. Can I get an "I AM GROOT????"

The beginning of the trailer is ominous AF. It opens with Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) warning someone that "the fate of the universe" is on their shoulders. Yikes. Talk about pressure.

Turns out, the shoulders he's talking about are Baby Groot's. And the fate of the universe depends on whether or not he sets off an atomic bomb.

WTF, ROCKET? HIS SHOULDERS ARE LITERALLY SO TINY. He's not ready for this! He is but a small, beautiful, perfect baby tree!!! I'm stressed.

The rest of the trailer is a bunch of badass-ery paired with Chris Pratt's perfect humor, Dave Bautista's Drax (who seems to have a lot more reason to laugh in this movie) and Gamora's general kickass presence.

The internet basically broke down when the end of the first trailer featured literally, like, 3.5 milliseconds of Baby Groot at the end, so Marvel knew exactly what it was doing when it gifted us with basically a full two minutes of new Groot material.

He's the hero we don't deserve.

But it wouldn't be Marvel if there wasn't an extra scene at the end, now would it?

In the last parts of the trailer, we get a glimpse of a lady who can instantly read every emotion of a person once she touches them, which is bad news for the sexual tension between Star-Lord and Gamora, but Drax seems to love it.

TALK ABOUT AWKWARD.

One thing's for sure, I'm going to be counting down every single minute until May 5, 2017.
