Sad news for all you Batman fans out there… “Dark Knight” star Christian Bale will not be reprising his role as Bruce Wayne in the 2015 blockbuster “The Justice League.”

Nobody really expected Bale to come back for this “Avengers” style film, but it’s especially sad that now he has confirmed he will not be appearing in it.

Bale is an Academy Award winning actor who will not be replaced very easily, although the front-runner is looking like it may be Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who played Robin in “The Dark Knight Rises”.

“We were incredibly fortunate to get to make three [Batman films]. That’s enough. Let’s not get greedy,” says Bale, “Chris [Nolan] always said he wanted to make it one film at a time. And we ended up sitting there looking at each other, saying ‘We’re about to make the third.’ We never really knew if we were going to get to be there, but if that was how it was going to be, this was where it should end as well.”

In fact, nobody has even discussed the “Justice League” movie with Bale:

“I have no information, no knowledge about anything. I’ve literally not had a conversation with a living soul. I understand that they may be making a ‘Justice League’ movie, that’s it.”

He will not be sad about passing the role down to another actor, though:

“It’s a torch that should be handed from one actor to another. So I enjoy looking forward to what somebody else will come up with.”

We will definitely miss Christian Bale as Batman because his portrayal was the best ever.

Don’t Bother Seeing ‘Gone Girl,’ This Version With Kittens Is Better

By now, everyone has at least heard of the psychological thriller “Gone Girl,” the novel-turned-movie originally written by Gillian Flynn. The book and movie alike have gotten rave reviews, which of course meant it was only a matter of time before creative types started turning the concept into a parodied version of itself. Granted, this is the […]

5 Reasons To Agree With Paula Patton’s Decision To Leave Robin Thicke

Paula Patton will not be taking back Robin Thicke, and I totally understand why. Earlier this summer, Patton and Thicke separated. Reports of infidelity on Robin’s part hit the news, and shortly after, the newly-estranged couple’s life fell apart. Yesterday, Patton officially filed for divorce from Thicke, who tried to get her back several times. It’s […]

Rejection Review: 7 Reasons Why You’re Not Getting The Job

If college taught us more about living in the real world than it did about how to write a 30-page research paper, you probably wouldn’t be reading this. I’m not discrediting the importance of higher education; I am just curious as to why I meet so many unemployed college graduates. You have posted your résumé […]

4 Reasons To Keep The Faith That This Season Of ‘Homeland’ Won’t Suck

Okay, okay, so “Homeland” was truly awful for the entire third season (and if we’re being honest, for most of the second season, too). But, to the delight of entertainment masochists who had yet to give up on the CIA drama, “Homeland’s” season four premiere offered some painstakingly overdue promise. The main reason the premiere […]
