Here's Proof That 'Pulp Fiction' And 'Kill Bill' Exist Within The Same Universe

by Adam Pliskin

You might not know this, but all of Quentin Tarantino's films exist within the same fictional universe. For example, Mr. Blonde from "Reservoir Dogs," also known as Vic Vega, is the brother of Vincent Vega from "Pulp Fiction."

There are a ton of other connections and if you need a refresher course, I highly recommend that you check out the interesting short film "Tarantino's Mind."

In case you needed further proof of this awesome phenomena, one Imgur user has uploaded some helpful GIFs to show the connection between "Pulp Fiction" and "Kill Bill."

Now, you may be wondering, how could the same actor play different characters if the films all exist within the same diegetic universe? Well, Tarantino's universe can actually be split into two sub-universes.

On one side, there is the normal world that most of his films take place in (i.e. "Pulp Fiction" and "Inglorious Basterds"). On the other side, there is the movie world where films like "Kill Bill" and "From Dusk Till Dawn" take place.

Basically, the latter films are the movies that the characters in the former group would watch. Now that things are all squared away, check out these GIFs that give another example of this dichotomy.

It has to do with "Fox Force Five," the failed TV pilot that Mia Wallace once acted in.
