When you think of "Harry Potter" and the upcoming spinoff "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," do you ever ponder to yourself, "Hmm, yeah, sounds good, but it needs more... How do I put this? Johnny Depp?"

I haven't thought that personally, but if you have, then you're in luck.

Hollywood's bad boy with a dad bod is starring in the sequel to "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."

While Warner Bros. has yet to reveal his character, he will be appearing briefly in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," which stars Eddie Redmayne and opens November 18.

Last month, JK Rowling said that five films were planned for the franchise, with the second movie already in the works and also starring Redmayne. She said,

We always knew it would be more than one movie. We set a trilogy as a kind of placeholder. I've now done the plotting properly, so we're pretty sure it's going to be five movies.

think I know what type of character Depp might play though...

Director David Yates, who also directed the final four "Harry Potter" films, has said that the sequel will take place in a different city than the original setting of New York.

He promises it will be "very different."

The sequel to "Fantastic Beasts" is set to be released on November 16, 2018, with shooting starting next year. Release dates for the following three films are not set.

Also joining Redmayne in "Fantastic Beasts" are actors Colin Farrel, Jon Voight, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol and Dan Fogler.

Meanwhile, Depp will appear as Captain Jack Sparrow for the fifth time in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales," opening on May 26.

This will have a lot of ladies saying:

Alongside Josh Gad, Depp is also a part of the "Murder on the Orient Express" remake. "Orient Express" is set to hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
