Michael Keaton Putting His Acceptance Speech Away Is Too Sad To Watch

by Adam Pliskin

Eddie Redmayne won the Oscar for Best Actor for his role as Stephen Hawking in "The Theory of Everything."

One of the talented and deserving actors Redmayne beat out for the award was Michael Keaton.

I, and many others, believed Keaton would win the award. Now, a new Vine surfaced showing Keaton also believed he would win.

In the short clip, Keaton can be seen putting his acceptance speech back in his jacket pocket after Redmayne was named the winner.

It's a pretty sad moment as you can tell Keaton really thought he had this one in the bag.

In my book, Keaton deserved the statue, but I don't decide who wins these things. Sorry, Michael.
