The Rock To Produce A Movie Based On An Illustration Found On DeviantArt

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Beau Flynn will be producing a film at New Line inspired and based on a piece of art found on DeviantArt. That’s right, an illustration that the artist labeled as “another fast and stupid one” is being optioned for a major film release.

The artist’s name is Alex Panagopoulos, a former tech nerd turned artist, and his illustration features a little girl being protected from a giant dragon-like creature by a teddy bear with a wooden sword and shield.  I know what you’re thinking…what the fuck?

The Rock’s former assistant, Hiram Garcia, discovered the picture and brought it right to New Line. With Dwayne producing, there is a solid possibility that he may star in the movie as well!

Considering the success of Ted,  it’s not surprising that the anthropomorphized teddy bear genre is Hollywood’s next big thing, and the studio is allegedly hoping to turn this concept into a franchise!

Yeah, we don’t get it either. Until we figure out what the hell those guys are smoking, check out the illustration below that inspired it all!

Man Of Steel: Because The World Needs Another Superman Film

Like a Terrence Malick movie (but with a plot) and through beautiful cinematography and moody voiceovers, director Zach Snyder (“300,” “Watchman”) attempts to bring us a more accessible side of a classic superhero. Although the execution is far from perfect, it’s mostly a good time. The movie opens on Krypton, Superman’s home world. The planet [...]

The sequel to the 2006 smash hit “300″ is finally about to be here and we couldn’t be more excited. Despite the absence of star Gerard Butler (he epically died in battle during the first movie), the film still looks pretty dope from the new trailer. Based on Frank Miller‘s latest graphic novel “Xerxes” and told in [...]
