Biggest 'Harry Potter' Fan Ever Transforms Wall Into First Page Of The Books
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: "Harry Potter" fans are the absolute best.
Who else would have the creativity and dedication to paint the first page of a novel on a wall? Awesome nerds like Meredith McCardle, that's who.
The project took her over 60 hours of work, but the results are pretty magical. Meredith now has a wall devoted to the first page of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone."
She posted the final results on Instagram on Tuesday. https://instagram.com/p/BEoTn5Mxo1m/
She wrote in the caption,
One more home decor project DONE. I hand painted the first page of Harry Potter on a wall in my office for inspiration. Can we all take a second to laugh at the fact I legit thought this would be a fun weekend project I could bang out in about 4 hours? In reality, it took 60 hours over the course of 3 weeks, thus proving once again I am absolute crap at time estimation. But whatever. WORTH IT.
Seriously, it definitely was worth it, because that wall is amazing. My question is HOW? Meredith told BuzzFeed she used a projector to display the page, and then traced over the words in pencil. Then, she went back again and painted in the letters.
So uh, Meredith, can you come over and do that to my wall next? Meredith is an author herself, and she currently lives with her family in South Florida.
Somewhere in the Wizarding World right now, Hermione Granger is very proud of Meredith's work ethic.
