'Jersey Shore' Has Officially Begun Filming Their Reboot, So Get Ready

MTV

It's officially T-shirt time again. After rumors of a reunion in the past few weeks, the cast of MTV's iconic reality show Jersey Shore was spotted filming together on the Jersey boardwalk for the first time since the show ended in 2012.

Members of the Jersey Shore cast met up over the weekend for dinner and shenanigans, with cameras catching all of it, according to the Asbury Park Press. The local New Jersey outlet reported the reunited cast filmed a dinner get-together and a couple hours of playing boardwalk games.

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino seemed to confirm the reunion news on Instagram, posting a headline about the filming and adding a winking emoji in the caption.

This sounds like great news for fans of Jersey Shore, but we probably shouldn't expect the same drunken debauchery we got back in the early 2010s. According to reports, the reunion dinner was a pretty low-key affair, and much of the cast seems to have toned down the wild partying in the five years since the show ended.

Jenni Farley, better known as JWoww to fans of the series, noted any reboot of the series would need to be a lot more low-key than the original run just a couple weeks back. She said now that she and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi are moms, they have cut way back on the drinking and nightlife.

So basically, don't expect to see Snooki recreating her iconic arrest.

Still, even though the reunion may be a little more subdued than the balls-to-the-walls original series, the whole cast knows how to make good TV, so it's still a promising idea.

Most of the Jersey Shore cast has continued to appear on various reality shows since the show ended five years ago. Snooki competed on Dancing With the Stars and The Celebrity Apprentice, along with a couple spinoff shows with JWoww such as Snooki & JWoww and Moms With Attitude.

The Situation appeared on Celebrity Big BrotherWorst Cooks in America, and Marriage Boot Camp. Both Ronnie Magro-Ortiz and Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio appeared on Famously Single. Vinny Guadagnino had his own talk show and a Food Network series with his mom.

Clearly, with all of these reality shows between them, the Jersey Shore crew can turn out a watchable reunion even if it isn't as boozy as fans may be expecting.
