Over the past week, hordes of single, social media-addicted ladies and gents have taken to Twitter to announce to the world why they’re single in 140 characters or less.

In honor of Valentine’s Day, Jimmy Fallon sorted through the trending #WhyImSingle hashtag to find the funniest posts, which he read aloud on Thursday night’s “The Tonight Show.”

It’s impossible to decide which is funnier -- the ridiculously awkward confessions or the host's goofy commentary.
