Joe Paterno’s widow, Sue Paterno, is planning to give her first interview since the Jerry Sandusky scandal and her husband’s death. She is going to appear on Katie Couric’s daytime talk show on Monday.

Joe Paterno was head coach of the Nittany Lions for nearly as long as he has been married: from 1966 to 2011.

He led the team to 409 victories and two national titles. 111 of those victories were voided by the NCAA as a result of the Sandusky child sexual abuse scandal aftermath.

However, many people feel that Paterno’s involvement in the scandal has been blown out of proportion.

Nevertheless, Paterno was fired by the school only days after the scandal was made public back in 2011. He died in January of 2012 from lung cancer.

Why Stephen Colbert Is a Smart ‘Late Show’ Pick

On the face of it, David Letterman and Stephen Colbert don’t seem to have that much in common. Perpetually cranky and never much of a people person, Letterman grew up in the Midwest with dreams of getting into broadcasting or comedy, maybe as a standup. A vocal Catholic with an ebullient personality, Colbert was raised […]

Why Being Black In 21st Century ‘Post-Racial’ America Is So Stressful

Being black in 21st century America is stressful. In order to alleviate that stress, I ignore the ideology: “[Post-racial America] is a theoretical environment where the United States is devoid of racial preference, discrimination, and prejudice.” I reframe certain situations to mentally ignore the blatant racism in everyday life. Media outlets are a constant reminder […]

9 Ways The Hook-Up Culture Is Ruining Love As We Know It

Generation-Y is the first generation that, as a whole, is openly sleeping around with one another and not being judged by others. The words “slut” and “whore” do still get thrown around, but usually by someone who has slept with just as many people as the person being labeled as such. Generation-Y is deeply immersed […]
