At the beginning of July, Margot Robbie was profiled by Vanity Fair in an article about her amazing Hollywood accomplishments.

The 26-year-old actress made headlines for her work in “The Wolf Of Wall Street," and now she's starring in two major summer films: "The Legend Of Tarzan" and "Suicide Squad."

However, the article was written by a man who was pretty sexist toward Margot Robbie the entire time.

The reporter, Rich Cohen, has been called out for his straight-up creepy portrayal of the star.

On Monday, the actress sat down with the Australian television program "The Project" to discuss the Vanity Fair interview.

Robbie told co-host Carrie Bickmore,

I remember thinking that was a really odd interview, I don't know how that's going to come out.

She continued,

And then when I read it I was like, 'Yeah, the tone of this is really weird. Like, I don't really know what he's trying to get at'... But I didn't expect there to be like an uproar about it at all.

Robbie explained she reads worse content on the internet about women, so she didn't expect this piece to get the negative attention it did.

UM GIRL, we've got your back. No man should be talking to Margot Robbie like a piece of fresh meat.

As noted in the clip above, Robbie decided not to publicly respond to Cohen or the Vanity Fair article.

She just seems pleased to know fans jumped to her defense.

Long story short, don't mess with the Aussies. Cohen, you got that?
