9 Of The Most Relatable Female Characters Who Killed It At Single Life

by Alexa Mellardo
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer / Warner Bros.

Everyone loves watching their favorite TV and movie characters being badass on screen.

You know the gems I'm talking about: the successful, confident, larger-than-life gals we all envy.

We admire them, and we'd love to walk in their shoes... even if only for a day.

They're the women who usually have their ducks in a row. No matter what life throws at them, they try to be put together AF… and the same goes for their flawless wardrobes.

Warner Bros.

They're the OG stars of their own TV show or movie, so it's only fitting.

Many of these characters don't remain single the entire duration, but when they're crushing single life to a T, they're empowering all of us in the process.

They don't need a man in order to slay their own game.

Here are nine of the most relatable female characters who killed it at single life:

1. Olivia Pope from "Scandal"

Disney

Olivia is the OG #BossLady in my book. She has the brain, power, respect AND wardrobe any gal would envy.

For real, though: Can I raid your closet, Liv?

Miss Pope is confident, and she knows what she wants. She's never afraid to do what she has to do in order to get the job done in an efficient manner.

She ALWAYS has a plan, and sets it into awe-inspiring action.

2. Rachel Green from "Friends"

Did anyone ever have more perfect hair than this chick?

Not only is Rachel insanely gorgeous, but she's also surrounded by an incredible group of friends who love and support her.

She's always there for them, too.

3. Dr. Addison Montgomery from "Private Practice"

Disney

Addison's confidence and clothes are impeccable. She's a neonatal surgeon, for crying out loud. So, she naturally has her shit together.

But even when she doesn't, she copes with a glass of wine like a champ.

This classy, sophisticated career woman is so impressive, it's clear why she has multiple men chasing after her throughout "Private Practice."

And let's be honest: Who wouldn't want her house? It just casually overlooks the beautiful California beach.

4. Elle Woods from "Legally Blonde”

Gotta love Elle! Her vibrant personality, adorable pooch (Bruiser), hot car and perfectly pink clothes are everything.

Although she's crushed when her jerk boyfriend Warner breaks up with her, she picks herself up and comes out on top by gaining her JD at Harvard.

5. Andrea Sachs from "The Devil Wears Prada"

20th Century Fox

Even with the craziest, hardest-to-please boss ever, Andy never gives up.

She slays it at Fashion Week in Paris, casually gets to raid her office fashion closet for free designer clothes, and really proves herself in her career.

6. Princess Mia from "The Princess Diaries"

Walt Disney Pictures

I mean, casually finding out you're a princess is pretty rad.

Mia (literally) rules. She grows out of her shell so much in the process, and becomes the most beautiful woman, both inside and out.

Little girls everywhere look up to her, and they want to be just like her when they grow up.

7. Meredith Grey from "Grey's Anatomy"

Ever since the beginning of the show, Meredith Grey has an on-again, off-again connection with Derek Shepherd.

When Derek chose his ex – Addison Montgomery – over Meredith, we were all just as crushed as she was.

We know they end up together after all... BUT even when Derek failed to come in clutch, Meredith never paused from cruising through her career and being one of the greatest catches around.

It IS “Grey's” anatomy, after all.

8. Brooke Davis from "One Tree Hill"

Warner Bros.

Ah, Brooke Davis. She experiences several loves in her lifetime, but she's truly a one-woman show. She never ceases to be the life of the party.

She never needed a man to make things happen in her life. Brooke's the boss... in more ways than one.

"Clothes Over Bros" for LYFE.

9. Blair Waldorf from "Gossip Girl"

Real talk: Blair Waldorf is a legend. Not only did her hair ALWAYS come out on point, she's not afraid to speak her mind and call people out on any sort of BS she senses.

Her minions follow her lead. She ruled the hallways of Constance, and claimed her throne on the steps of The Met.

Not only is she the fiercest cat around, she has the backs of her true friends.

She really knows how to love.
