Taylor Swift Or Someone In Her Entourage Farted On Live TV Last Night

by Gillian Fuller

This is a public service announcement: Taylor Swift farted on live TV and everybody knows it.

Last night, at the VMAs, Taylor was excitedly announcing the debut of her “Wildest Dreams” music video during a live interview. Swift, apparently so overcome with joy, squatted (in excitement? I'm not sure…) and totally let one rip.

Now, you may assume that I'm just a b*tch and I don't like Taylor Swift and I'm writing this to embarrass her. Not true. I'm actually a fan of her, and her music. But she totally tooted — let's just call it what it is, okay?

In case you're still not convinced, let's check the evidence:

1. Taylor's face right after the fart.

2. Taylor's moment of speechlessness before announcing the video's name.

3. Karlie Kloss definitely noticed it.

4. Hailee Steinfeld covers her face with her hands, as if to shield herself from Swift's butt winds.

5. She totally farted.

I may be cracking up over this, and that's fine, because I'm a 22-year-old woman with a ten-year-old boy's sense of humor.

But while I'm laughing, alone, in my bed, with $2.83 to my name, Taylor, the Fart Queen, is laughing all the way to the bank. So, she still wins.

Check out the video below for irrefutable proof of her VMA toot.

Update: MTV released a statement confirming the "farting" noise was made by the recording equipment.

A spokesperson said,

MTV can confirm that the sound heard in the moment Taylor Swift introduced her new music video, "Wildest Dreams," was isolated to a production microphone. There was absolutely no possibility of it being Taylor or anyone in her party's microphones picking up ambient sounds.
