Blink 182′s Enema of the State, Nirvana’s Nevermind and The Smashing Pumpkins’ Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness are all classic albums with classic album covers. The albums are just as well known for their artwork as for their music. Needless to say, it’d be pretty hard to improve upon these iconic covers.

But, I think the guys over at Ript Apparel have found a way. They just came out with a series of t-shirts that place famous film, TV and video game characters on famous album covers. The art is really cool — I’m definitely going to invest in a few of these.

The best creation is toss-up between No Doubt’s Tragic Kingdom with Super Mario characters and Metallica’s St. Anger with Wolverine’s claw.

Check out the reimagined album covers below:

We’ve all seen what happens when boredom meets disposable income in a child’s world — Rich Kids of Instagram, anyone? New ‘Game Of Thrones’ Course Puts Your English Lit Degree To Shame

The University of Virginia offered a summer course on “Game of Thrones.” That’s right. Students at the university learned all about the intricacies of fighting White Walkers and raising dragons. Lisa Woolfork, an associate professor of English, taught the discussion-based class. The course was split between the first book in George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of […]

A Capella Group Absolutely Crushes The Ultimate Disney Medley (Video)

I’m a total dork when it comes to really impressive singers. One night, while watching my college’s performance of “Spring Awakening,” I hysterically cried during several goosebump-inducing harmonies and solos. It was really embarrassing, mainly because it was in front of my new-ish boyfriend and all of his friends, who easily judged me for the […]

Fox News’ Fear Of Transgender Bathrooms Gets Shot Down On Live Television (Video)

FOX doesn’t understand transgendered people, and therefore, I don’t understand FOX. Recently, Illinois State University announced that it would be relabeling some of its “family” restrooms on campus as “all-gender” to accommodate gender-variant and transgender students who face violence and harassment in public restrooms. All the restrooms will be identified by a sign with a symbol featuring […]
