Artist's Hilarious Illustrations About Motherhood Are So Accurate (Photos)

Ah, the joys of motherhood.

Bringing a new life into the world is a beautiful thing. But let's be real, the whole process of having a baby can be a bit less glamorous.

If you don't believe me, just ask Line Severinsen. Severinsen is a proud mother of two and a talented artist from Bergen, Norway.

Back in 2012, this proud mama set out to highlight the less-appealing aspects of motherhood by drawing a series of hysterical illustrations.

Since then, Severinsen created all sorts of spot-on pictures perfectly capturing all the unique struggles you can expect when expecting, and all of her impressive drawings are guaranteed to make you laugh.

She told Huffington Post,

I thought to myself that there is no way that no other people felt and looked like I did. So I wanted to create a counterpoint to help people like me to understand that they weren't alone and that it is OK to feel and act less than perfect sometimes.

Eventually Severinsen wants to turn her artwork into a book, but until then, you can see her hilarious motherhood-inspired drawings on her Instagram account.

Take a look at the pictures below to see her comical illustrations.

Meet Line Severinsen.

Severinsen is an artist and mother of two from Norway...

...who highlights the struggles of motherhood with hilarious illustrations.

Her comical creations include everything from the challenges of swollen feet...

Nighttime cramps...

And off-tune lullabies...

To growing more hair than a woolly mammoth...

Not being able to turn up...

Having sh*t get real awkward in the bedroom...

...and basically just feeling like a bloated cow all the time.

The struggles don't stop once the baby is born, either.

Severinsen also explores the challenges faced by a new mom...

Such as pumping breast milk in public bathrooms...

Saying "goodbye" to your kids on the first day of preschool...

...and leaving your baby home alone with your husband.
