Having seen a litany of spy shots, followed by official shots and a few initial details, the new L405-generation top-of-the-line Range Rover finally made its live debut at an exclusive start-studded event at the Royal Ballet School in Richmond, London.

Before last night’s bash, we had seen the new design and interior and were aware of the huge diet the luxury SUV had been on, shedding up to a whopping 420 kg thanks to its aluminum construction. Now Land Rover has revealed the full monte on its new flagship model.

Compared to a similarly equipped outgoing model, the US-spec 2013 V8 Range Rover is nearly 320 kg lighter than the model currently on sale.Sleeker, lower and longer, the new-and-improved model remains quintessentiually a Range Rover, albeit with a new jeweled grille and three non-functioning gills that have moved from the fenders to the doors and can be specified in different colors.

There are also 37 different body colors, a contrasting roof, eight alloy wheel designs, 17 interior color themes, three choices of veneer and several leather options to increase the customization options on the luxury SUV.

Guys, Marcel the Shell is back. I really couldn’t be any more excited that this Internet staple is back in action for its third iteration, thanks to Dean Fleischer-Camp and Jenny Slate. Marcel is the epitome of weird, and I love every second of it. Everything that comes out of the snail’s whimsical little mouth […]

It’s A Bird! It’s A Woman! Actually, It’s A Bird-Woman! (Photo)

If you had the opportunity to attend Scholastic book fairs as frequently as many elementary school students in the ’90s did, then you’re probably intimately familiar with the “Animorphs” series, which featured a bunch of kids who had the ability to morph into animals. The cover of each book featured a character transitioning from human […]

On Sunday, ISIS proudly defended its decision to capture women and use them as sexual slaves. In an article written for the terrorist group’s magazine, Dabiq, the group cites Shariah law as a legitimate justification for forcing women into slavery. The Story Behind How A Rooster Ended Up As The Symbol On Sriracha Bottles

Huy Fong Foods’ Sriracha hot sauce bottle is iconic: a little green cap set atop a fiery red bottle. The spicy condiment is often called “rooster sauce” for the brand’s strutting mascot, emblazoned across the front of every bottle. Until now, its origin has been a mystery. In a recent interview with Modern Farmer, Huy […]

Scientists Discover Reptiles That Wait Longer To Have Sex Live Longer

Unfortunately for the reptile kingdom, those that enjoy meat and sex early on pay the price by dying young. Researchers from Britain’s University of Lincoln studied 1,014 species of scaled reptiles, consisting of 672 lizards, 336 snakes, five worm lizards and a New Zealand-native called a tuatara. The focus was the effect diet, rates of reproduction and sexual […]
