Chrysler has been forced to halt orders from dealers as their Fiat 500 Abarth sold out since its launch in late April. With the Chrysler factory unable to produce more than 3,000 vehicles, customers are being added to a waiting list for the 2013 version.
Chrysler has confirmed that the Fiat 500 Abarth will debut in the US at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The Fiat 500 Abarth will run on a 1.4-liter Turbo engine and come equipped with a tuned suspension, brake system, a “race-inspired design, and technology features.”
It is still unknown exactly how much power this engine will exert, but in Europe, the Fiat 500 Abarth is offered with either 130 hp or 160 hp.
