Over 500 Corgis Playing On A Beach May Just Be The Cutest Thing Ever (Photos)
What does April 11 mean to you? This year, it meant a whole lot more than Coachella to some people.
If you happened to be a corgi dog owner located in the Southern California area, you probably did what most SoCal-based corgi owners did on April 11. You attended SoCal Corgi Beach Day, of course!
It's the one day a year, aka "Corgchella," when corgis and their owners gather on Huntington Beach for a long, beautiful day in the sun. The end result? Pure awesomeness.
I mean, what do you expect when over 500 bubbly corgis come together to splash around in the ocean and play in the sand?!
Now, not everyone had the chance to make it to this awesome, fun-filled event, but thanks to the Internet you can scroll through an endless amount of photos using the #SoCalCorgiBeachDay hashtag and feel like you went.
Check out the photos below for a closer look.
On the morning of April 11, 2015, there was only one thing on each corgi's mind: SoCal Corgi Beach Day!
After downing a daily dose of Starbucks, it was time to hit the beach.
Corgi Beach Day is when all of the corgis who happen to be in the Southern California area come together and party on the beach.
This was the ninth year in a row, and it was awesome.
I mean, who wouldn't want to spend their Saturday having some fun in the sun while their dog makes friends left and right?!
It's a no-brainer. Don't they look happy?
The pups did everything from being buried up to their necks in sand...
...to splashing around in the ocean with other furry friends.
Despite how fun it is, you can't forget your stunner shades. The sun's pretty strong out there on Huntington Beach!
When the corgis weren't splashing around and playing in the sand, they were simply tanning and enduring all of the well-earned attention.
As you can see from these photos, SoCal's corgi nation is pretty strong, which explains why there's an entire day dedicated to them.
You have to admit, it looks pretty fun.
I mean, it's kind of hard not to have fun with this many corgis and corgi-lovers in one place.
As a matter of fact, it was probably a lot more fun than going to Coachella!
You know what? Forget Coachella. It's all about Corgchella!
After a long day at the beach with everyone, it was time to wind down until next year.
