A Real Hoverboard Finally Exists, And It'll Cost You $10,000 (Video)

by Robert Anthony

Hoverboards are something we've all wanted for so long.

Our hopes and dreams were crushed time and time again as viral videos showcasing what we thought were hoverboards were uncovered as fakes. All of that is about to end now, thanks to the Hendo Hoverboard.

This crafty piece of technology was the star of a video recently uploaded to YouTube by Hendo Hover.

According to Metro, this hoverboard was built by Greg and Jill Henderson and is now looking to raise $250,000 on Kickstarter, where they've managed to raise over $21,000 so far.

The board is powered by four different hover engines that emit a series of magnetic fields underneath the board, allowing it to hover above the surface.

The Hendo Hoverboard requires a certain kind of surface in order to work, so the Hendo team will also be creating a skatepark specifically for Hendo owners.

As of right now, the board is still in its early stages, but when it's available, you'll have to be willing to spend $10,000 on one.
