As kids, we instinctively put small objects in our mouths. So, if you think about it, we’ve all been patiently waiting for the day when edible Lego pieces would exist.

Thanks to illustrator, artist and designer Akihiro Mizuuchi’s chocolate Legos, it’s safe to say we’ve finally made it to the promised land. As if chocolate wasn’t enough, Mizuuchi also created vanilla and strawberry flavors.

The best part about this project? Not only can you eat them, but you can also build things with them before they make their way to your belly. It gives new meaning to playing with your food.

Illustrator, artist and designer, Akihiro Mizuuchi, came up with a cool way to simultaneously snack and play.

Mizuuchi poured chocolate, vanilla and strawberry flavors into Lego molding trays used to make actual Lego pieces.

Once each of the flavors cooled off and hardened, the project was complete. It’s as simple as that!

Besides the fact that they’re edible, they’re also stackable.

As of now, the flavored, edible Lego pieces are just part of the Japan-based designer’s portfolio and are not available for purchase…

But you might be able to find a Lego piece molding tray on Amazon and make your own!
