Spaghetti Doughnuts May Sound Gross, But We Don't Deserve Their Deliciousness

Weird food combinations are kind of my jam for two reasons: I love to try new food and I'm usually pretty drunk so I'm not afraid of trying anything.

Chocolate-covered potato chips? Yeah, what is this amateur hour? I had those when I was but a child.

Peanut butter and pickle sandwich? Don't knock it until you try it.

A pinch of salt in a bad cup of coffee? It cuts the bitter taste and is actually a game-changer.

But when I saw this, even I was skeptical.

I mean, I like pasta, it has saved me from starvation a number of times. I also love doughnuts more than life itself.

But spaghetti doughnuts????

Basically, the doughnut is more along the lines of a spaghetti pie, which is traditionally made with leftover pasta, eggs and cheese and is then shaped into something that resembles a doughnut.

According to Pop Pasta, the creators, the spaghetti doughnut is "the perfect food to bring to picnics or to the beach, and it isn't messy like pizza!"

The flavors include aglio e olio (parmigiano, eggs, olive oil, garlic, red pepper), red sauce (parmigiano, eggs, tomato puree), zucchini (parmigiano, eggs, zucchini, olive oil, garlic), carbonara (parmigiano, eggs, bacon) and bolognese (parmigiano, eggs, ground beef, tomato puree, olive oil onions, garlic).

Naturally, you can grab one of these bad boys at the outdoor food market Smorgasburg in Brooklyn.

Finally, there's a solution for my constant need to eat pasta without the hassle or the mess: a baker's dozen worth of spaghetti doughnuts.

And if you're one of the haters who believes this creation is an abomination, this is 2017. The future is now.

People wouldn't just create food and sell it, they're selling it because it tastes good. Honestly, why are you so afraid of change? Eat the spaghetti doughnut! Put it in your mouth hole!!!
