A 5-foot, 26,000-calorie hot dog monster aptly named Monster Dog, was released into the wild by Smokey’s, a restaurant located in West Midlands, England. It contains 6.6 pounds of beef sausage, 2 pounds of chilli, 30 jalapeño peppers and lots of cheese.

Dale Key, restaurant owner, felt that he really needed to up the ante after American professional eater Randy Santel destroyed the restaurant’s last challenge. Also called Monster Dog, the previous hot dog “only” contained 13,000 calories. Santel annihilated it in 45 minutes. Key said,

Until Randy came over, nobody had beaten the Monster Dog challenge, and he smashed it.

He hopes Santel and everybody else comes to try this new 26,000-calorie version of the Monster Dog. Owners Key and his brother, Dean, believe this Monster Dog is the biggest in Europe.

The most challenging part of the whole thing, Dale admitted, was “sourcing a big enough sausage.”

If you complete the challenge within the time limit, the hot dog is free. Otherwise, it costs £29.95, or $51.00
