Unicorn Ramen Is The Latest Addition To The Magical Food Trend

Pumpkin Spice Latte season has come and gone. We were joyous for months, any food item you could imagine was flavored with the holy pumpkin spice.

But the leaves have fallen. We are trudging through snow in a world that looks black and white. We demand something new.

We have been waiting very impatiently for the next food craze. Thankfully, it has come in the form of something truly magical. I'm talking Lisa Frank magical.

We told you about the Brooklyn café serving up Unicorn Lattes, which not only will warm the cockles of your heart but it's also healthy.

And you were with us when we discovered Unicorn Chocolate.

Now, may we present, UNICORN RAMEN!?

I just ate ramen for dinner, because it's raining in LA for once. I ordered pork ramen, which is made with pork broth, which is made from piggies.

I would assume unicorn ramen is made with unicorn bones? But apparently I am wrong.

The blue savory broth comes from spirulina algae.

Did you just say "Gross, algae?"

Broth is usually made from MEAT AND BONES, you monster.

You'll have to travel to Tokyo's Kipposhi restaurant to try the blue chicken broth though. While you're there, you can get a blue latte, which also is made with spirulina algae.

This is what I imagine unicorn tears to look like. So pure.

Along with the restaurant's iconic blue broth, the dish comes with greens, a salted egg and roast chicken. On top of that, the soup will only set you back 900 yen (or $7.86).

The algae that gives the ramen its unique hue also has anti-aging benefits.
