Amanda Newton is a 28 year-old Scorpio from South Florida. Half Polish with a mixture of English, Irish and Italian, this gorgeous brunette looks strikingly young for her age. But Amanda is not all about her looks, she received her Baccalaureate of Science in Graphic Design, which stems from her creative urge for expression.

A former athlete, Amanda used to compete in marathons and triathlons – but due to knee problems she has since stopped. Amanda has even completed a Hald Iron Man with a Full Iron Man hopefully in the future.

Amanda is best described as the laid back, down to earth girl next door that knows how to turn on the heat when she needs to. She loves seeing people’s expressions when they get a dose of her triple threat: beauty, brains and personality.

When a guy asks you “Where are you from”: what is one interesting thing about your hometown or family we wouldn’t know?

Well, I’m born and raised in South Florida. There isn’t really much anyone doesn’t already know about where I live – it’s a top travel destination! However, my background is 50% Polish and the other 50% is a mix of English, Irish, and Italian. People always assume because of where I live and my looks – dark hair, tanned skin and butt that I have some sort of Spanish mixed in.

Besides Maxim’s Hometown Hotty contest, what are you doing to pursue your career?

I just go out there and h-u-s-t-l-e HARD! I’ve never had an agent, manager or agency – everything I’ve done is due to my extremely hard working work ethic, go-getter personality, marketing savvy, networking or word of mouth.

Is Maxim just a stepping stone? Where do you see yourself?

Maxim is definitely a notable & reputable career mark. I would say it certainly opens up more opportunities once you have that title on your resume. I would love to be featured in Sports Illustrated one day. Luckily my look is very versatile, and although I started my career as the hot bikini babe, I’m trying to tone it down a bit and focus more on the fitness and fashion/commercial industries.

Is modelling your number one priority? What is your true passion?

Not at all. It’s more like the icing on the cake. Modeling was just something I gave a shot at because everyone was telling me you should give it a try. When I finally did – BAM, I didn’t expect such a great turn out. I’m really just a nerd trapped inside a model.

I received my B.S. Degree in Graphic Design well before I began modeling. I was born with that creative edge so modeling fits in well with that – they are both creative outlets for me. In fact, I’ve received more graphic design work since I started my modeling career.

To those who find modelling vain, what would say to them to convince them modelling is worth it?

Honestly, I’ve met so many people in this industry. Although there are always gonna be a few who are [vain]. I’ve met allot more people who are very down to earth, talented and business savvy. I was the girl who always got picked on growing up, the wallflower that never spoke up for myself, the artsy girl who read a lot of books…through modeling I’ve learned how to speak up and handle crowds. I developed a better sense of myself which has made me a better person. I say if you do it for the right reasons there is nothing wrong with it – just remain humble about it!

If you had to pick the date, where would you go?

I love FOOD, so any restaurant followed by somewhere fun is key.

What approach should a guy use that grabs your attention right off the bat?

Make me laugh! I’m a goofball.

What is the worst pick-up line you ever?

Oyeee. I heard so many that it’s really in one ear and out the other.

How many drinks before he gets lucky?

It has nothing to do with drinks. Plus I’m not a lightweight!

Dinner can get sloppy, what is one food you will never eat in front of a guy?

Like I said I love food I’ll eat whatever however needed. However, if it’s more like a 1st date scenario, then I’d have to say spinach dip. It’s yummy and all, but it gets stuck in your teeth.

It seems like guys and girls are always looking to pick up the opposite sex in the wrong places, where should a guy go to pick a girl like you?

Haha I’m always busy working or doing something. I rarely just go out, and if I do it certainly isn’t to hunt for a man or be hunted. The last date I went on, my best friend set me up on my 1st ever blind date. It’s hard once your a model, you never know what they are really after.

Worst date you’ve ever been on?

Back when I was in high school it was my birthday, so I got all dressed up wanting to do something special. Instead I looked like an idiot dressed up with this boy all dressed down. Needless to say, we did nothing and he took me to a McDonald’s Drive Through. I was so disappointed

Best place to have sex?

Anywhere adventurous the bed gets monotonous after awhile.

Worst style of dress a guy can have?

Just a sloppy disheveled dirty look.

Your secret vice in the bedroom?

I can’t give THAT out. It’s my little secret…but I can say this: ladies, keep it interesting. Tease him a bit and make him WANT it! I have a lot of lingerie from modeling so there is always a different look I can give to that special someone.
