This Guy Became The Youngest Person To Visit Every Country In The World (Photos)

by Robert Anthony

Time and time again, we're introduced to people who quit their jobs to travel the world.

It's a dream many people wish could become a reality in their lives.

But the fact of the matter is, not everyone has the means to take that leap of faith. If everyone did, no one would ever work; everyone would be seeing the world.

Well apparently, you can do both.

Gunnar Garfors' greatest accomplishment separates him from most of the wanderlust-fulfilling daredevils: The Norwegian traveler successfully visited every country on earth -- all 198 of them -- while maintaining a full-time job.

The craziest part? Garfors completed the task by the young age of 37.

Check out the photos below for a closer look!

Meet Gunnar Garfors, a Norwegian man who managed to visit every single country in the world by the time he was 37 years old.

People who spend time traveling the world are becoming more common every day, but no one Gunnar's age has done what he's done.

Garfors successfully visited 198 countries before the age of 40, making him the youngest person in the world to accomplish the task.

It wasn't easy by any means, but he did manage to keep his full-time job at the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation the entire time.

In a recent interview with Daily Mail, Garfors offered advice to aspiring world travelers. He said, "It will just take some planning. With low-cost airlines all over Europe, virtually anyone can visit another country by booking tickets way ahead."

Aside from the economic struggles most people deal with while traveling, there were moments when Garfors feared for his life.

I mean, traveling the entire world and meeting people from all walks of life could get dangerous.

Garfors explained, "One time, I almost ended up in a fight with a man carrying a long knife in Somalia, but a local friend I had just met stood up for me and calmed him down."

Luckily, he was able to get through the rough experiences and accomplish his goal of seeing the entire world.

He didn't take his sweet time, either. At one point, Garfors traveled to 19 different countries within 24 hours.

Since accomplishing his goal, Garfors wrote a book titled "198: How I Ran Out of Countries."

Could you imagine switching climates every few days?

For Gunnar Garfors, that's not a problem!

So, do you think you could maintain your job AND visit all 198 countries?

After all, there's plenty to see beyond your cubicle!
