Ikea Will Actually Serve You A Breakfast Of Swedish Staples In Bed

by Robert Anthony

Are you going to be in London in the next couple of days?

If so, IKEA is offering breakfast in bed until May 20. That's right, shoppers will be able to devour the most important meal of the day without having to sit in chairs like regular people.

Instead, the Swedish retailer will allow you to relax in a pre-assembled bed where you'll be served food. But why would IKEA allow shoppers to do such a thing? After all, most moms won't even let us eat in bed.

Myriam Ruffo, the Head of Bedrooms and Bathrooms at IKEA, revealed the reason.

In a recent interview with Daily Mail, she said,

There's nothing better than being in your own bed, you can enjoy sleep, cuddles and lazy days, but the piece de resistance has to be breakfast in bed.

Ruffo's right. What could be better than enjoying freshly smoked salmon, juices and pastries right in your bed?!

She continued,

At Ikea we believe that the delight of having breakfast in bed shouldn't just be reserved for those special occasions and should be something that makes everyday wonderful.

Unfortunately, the event is only taking place at the company's Shoreditch location. Customers will be able to try out The IKEA Breakfast in Bed Café from 7 am to 3 pm free of charge.

For a limited time, IKEA is allowing shoppers to eat breakfast in bed.

The goal of the event is to simply remind us the best part about our beds is being able to eat in them.

Up until May 20, shoppers in Shoreditch will be able to enjoy tasty dishes in the comfort of beds.

And guess what? It's free!
