These Illustrations Celebrate All The Small Ways You Start 'Adulting'

At some point, we've all faced the familiar struggles that accompany adulthood.

As kids, we couldn't wait to grow up and experience the glory of being adults who make their own decisions.

But if we knew about the responsibilities and bills that came along with the freedom to do whatever the hell we want, I'm pretty sure most of us would have had second thoughts.

Yep, your life sure changes once you leave the comfort of your cozy college dorm room and go out into the boring adult world, where it's socially unacceptable to do keg stands at dinner parties or turn up until 4 am on a weeknight.

Yep, being a responsible adult definitely isn't all that it's cracked up to be.

Recently, Cristina Vanko, a talented 27-year-old artist, set out to create a comical Instagram account called 100 Days Of Adulting, which perfectly captures what it really means to grow up and act like an adult.

Her account features a collection of charming illustrations that include everything from cooking meals that don't include ramen and doing your laundry more than once a month to blacking out a brunch rather than bars and going to bed at a reasonable hour every night.

All of her hilarious Instagram posts are pretty spot-on, and seeing these things will probably make you want to avoid adulthood for as long as humanly possible.

Take a look at the pictures below for a closer look at this entertaining Instagram account:

Being an adult means you don't buy your couch from Craigslist.

You have no regrets staying in.

You spend 17 hours building IKEA furniture for your first apartment.

You purchase household supplies instead of stealing them from your parent's house.

You'd kill for an afternoon nap at the office.

Shots are no longer your friend.

You buy real food from the grocery store instead of living off ramen and Hot Pockets.

You actually care about keeping your plants alive.

You don't pack your suitcase an hour before your flight.

You always have an umbrella in your bag.

You actually remember to do laundry every week.

You wear shoes based on functionality rather than fashion.
