This Man Overcame Fat-Shamers And Amazingly Lost Half His Body Weight

Let's face it, kids can be extremely mean, and with the advent of the Internet bullying has only gotten worse.

Nathan Priestley is one guy who knows how cruel bullies can be.

At one point, the 21-year-old, called "Jabba the Hutt" by bullies, was tormented so badly about his weight he refused to go out in public for over a year.

Over time, the bullying became so bad, Nathan even tried to take his own life by overdosing on 30 pills when he was 18 years old. Thankfully that dosage was not enough to overcome him, due to his large size.

However, almost dying can really change your outlook on life, and after Nathan danced with death he decided he no longer wanted to live his life that way.

So he decided to drop the extra pounds once and for all, and within two years, Nathan lost about 196 pounds.

In fact, Nathan was so successful with his fitness endeavors, he actually became a personal trainer and plans on entering a bodybuilding competition in the near future.

Nathan recently told Daily Mail,

I want to show the people that bullied and harassed me that no matter how hard they beat me down, I will achieve more than them.

Nathan is certainly an inspiration, and his incredible transformation proves anything is possible if you work hard and never give up.

Meet Nathan Priestley.

Throughout his childhood, he was often bullied for his weight and was even called "Jabba the Hutt."

The teasing got so bad that Nathan became severely depressed and wouldn't even venture out of his house.

But after trying to take his own life, he vowed to make a change and dropped almost 200 pounds in just two years!

Instead of hiding in his house, Nathan is now a personal trainer.

Over the past few years, he's gone from working out in the dark so no one would see him to dominating the weight room. Now he's in such great shape, he plans on entering a bodybuilding competition.

Nathan says, "I was always overweight as a kid and as I grew up the bullying contributed to that because I tended to comfort eat."

"Others would throw sweets at me when I was on the bus and call me 'fatty,' 'fat mess' and 'Jabba the Hutt.'"

But by trading in bacon, candy bars and alcohol for a low-carb diet and dumbbells...

Nathan was able to go from 364 to 182 pounds.

If only all of those bullies could see this fit guy now.
